Our priority is to develop activities that promote the protection of children’s rights, according to the terms stipulated in the International Convention on Protection of Children, signed by the United Nations in The Hague in 1993, and in particular the right of all boys and girls to: ‘Grow up in a family that provides them with affection, security and basic care’ (Convention on the Rights of the Child, UN, 20th November 1989).
Another of our primary objectives is to carry out activities related to the principles and objectives of the International Development Cooperation, according to the conditions specified in the International Development Cooperation Act 23/1998, dated 7th July.
The organization works in close cooperation with various groups in Colombia and Peru. Different projects are being developed in these areas, aiming to target the precarious condition of marginalized and underprivileged children.
Furthermore, the organization relies on a team comprised by a social educator and a professional in charge of accounting, as well as volunteers who participate at various events that are being organized throughout the year.
We aim to raise social awareness on issues regarding the protection of children and their rights through the regular publication of a magazine and organization of events meant to promote our objectives and activity.
We take our environmental responsibility seriously; hence we enforce an environmental protection policy based on reducing the consumption of, and encouraging the reuse and recycling of paper. We have document management computer software that allows us to file any document for future reference without the need to print it.
Our offices have efficient energy saving systems and comply with environmental protection.
