The Balms Children's Foundation celebrated its XXIII Golf Tournament, contributing its part from the South of Spain

On Saturday, 28^th July, the XXIII Golf Tournament of the Balms Foundation for Children was held at Finca Cortesín, to benefit the protection of children’s rights and their access to education.

The day started very early, even though the shot gun was at 9:00am, players started arriving and registering since 8:00am. They received a small gift from the sponsors and had a coffee before starting the game. It's nice to see how the players, many of them who repeat, greet each other affectionately year after year.

In total 86 players have participated this year, having to fold several holes so that everyone could play.

A cocktail was held at the end of the game, during which several volunteers were selling raffle tickets helped by their own children. As a result, the Balms Foundation for Children has raised 23,500 euros in this tournament, thanks to sponsorships, donations, player contributions and raffle income.

The awards ceremony for the winners and the raffle of the gifts donated for this purpose were presented and conducted by the Vice President and one of the founders of the Balms Foundation for Children, Mr. Juan Luis Balmaseda de Ahumada y Díez. The atmosphere was full of emotion and solidarity, participants were talking among themselves, exchanging opinions and taking photos as a reminder of a very special day for everyone.

Mr. Juan Luis Balmaseda de Ahumada was very grateful for the invaluable solidarity of individuals and companies who have collaborated, by being able to cover the essential expenses thanks to their support, the total sum of what has been collected can be used entirely for the international cooperation projects of the Foundation. Also, the Foundation prepared a thank-you video in which they also showed the projects they are currently working on.

There have been many who have turned to this cause by collaborating in this event, not only with their attendance at the tournament, but also through the commitment of the team of volunteers of Balms Abogados Marbella, who helped selflessly.

The Balms Foundation for Children wants to thank very sincerely the altruistic and supportive intervention of all those who year after year help to provide the necessary tools so that more children discover other perspectives of the world and everyday realities and have the possibility to choose their own future.
